Please join us next Monday for a special SXSW edition of AFM’s weekly meeting to include a casual panel discussion on sustainable filmmaking and "filming green" with special guests from Los Angeles and New York. If you’re involved with film production, own or work at a local green business, or are just curious about filmmaking and its impact on the community and environment, you should attend.

Beyond the message a film portrays, Sustainable Filmmaking takes on the behind-the-scenes methods used during production with the goal of making them more environmentally friendly. This is a growing movement throughout the country and the world, and we are excited to have three active, accomplished members of this movement attending as our panelists:

Topics covered:
-Provide perspective on what is currently being done to film green across the country
-Discuss the need to film green, the challenges eco-filmmakers face, and the support needed from local eco-businesses and filmmakers alike.
-Explain how this applies to indie/ low budget filmmakers, and what it means specifically here in Austin.
-Answer questions taken from the audience.
