The Moontower Community Agricultural Cooperative (Moontower Co-op) and the Texas Young Farmers Coalition (TXYFC) warmly invite you to join us at Green Gate Farms on Saturday November 9th at 4:30pm for a hearty celebration of the fall season, the growth of Moontower Co-op, and the cultivation of our farm and food communities! Locally sourced food, small batch ales and ciders, great conversation, and good ole fashioned revelry will be in abundance!

Our festivities will include:

• Socializing and Farm Tour (4:30pm). Meet and greet with some other supporters of the local farm and food communities. Have the farmers show you around their place!

• Panel Discussions (6pm). We will be talking food hubs, cooperative models, and local food systems with panels featuring cooperative founders, farmers, ranchers, and other members of our local farm and food communities

• Hog and Brisket Roast (7pm). A whole hog and over 50 pounds of local brisket served with an array of pickles and produce dishes

• Spirited Libations. A range of small batch ales and ciders from Split Rail Ales, 4th Tap Brewing Co-op, and Landlocked Surfer Brewing will be offered throughout the event

• Membership Drive. The first opportunity to sign up with Moontower Co-op as a supporting member

• Free Massage. Get a massage from the talented folks at Eastside Community Health Cooperative.

• Tabling. Partner groups working to strengthen the local food system and promote healthy living will be on hand to tell you all about their efforts.

The menu for our event will be posted soon. We encourage folks to bring chairs/blankets and your favorite drinking vessel (we’ll have a limited number of mason jars), and to come ready for good times out in the fresh air. No dogs please; too many animals out and about.
Let’s eat and drink our fill, have some great conversations, and build some community this fall! Much obliged for all your support and we hope to see everyone out at the farm on November 9th!
