Austin Zero Waste Alliance (AZWA) Monthly Meeting (Special Guest Speaker, Julie Rhodes – City of Austin’s Recycling Economic Development Liaison)

The Austin Zero Waste Alliance (AZWA) will be hosting Julie Rhodes, the City of Austin’s Recycling Economic Development Liaison, at our regular monthly meeting this Wednesday, September 25th at 7 PM. We’ll be meeting at the Terrazas Branch of the Austin Public Library (1105 E. Cesar Chavez). Come hear Julie describe how Austin stands to generate revenue and create good, green jobs from Zero Waste!
Also, we still have spots left for folks to help us at the Renewable Energy Roundup in Fredericksburg this weekend. This is one Texas’ foremost environmental gatherings, brining like-minded advocates for cleaner energy and a healthier planet from around the state together in this beautiful, historic Hill Country town. Come out and see the exhibits, hear the presentations, meet advocates from around Texas and help us spread the Zero Waste message! This is an important opportunity to help establish a new Zero Waste Alliance in Fredericksburg, and we need your help.
Not only that, our own AZWA Chair, Stacy Guidry, and AZWA committee member, JD Porter, will be giving a Zero Waste presentation on Saturday morning at 10 AM!

WHEN: Friday through Sunday September 27, 28 and 29
WHERE: Fredericksburg, Texas
WHY: To help spread the Zero Waste message and movement across the state to build more local chapters like AZWA!
