What's Inside...

A new piece of artwork has arrived in Austin… but you can’t find it in a museum. Internationally-acclaimed artist Patrick Dougherty spent much of January creating the Stickwork sculpture“Yippee Ki Yay” in Pease Park in central Austin. It will officially be unveiled to the public on February 10th.

Dougherty is world famous for making these so-called Stickwork sculpturesmade from locally-harvested natural materials and only meant to last as long as nature allows. The one in Pease Park is expected to remain intact for several years. The Austin project was made with support from the Pease Park Conservancy and with the help of hundreds of local volunteers. More info>>
