Any Project Runway fans out there? This event is pretty much your dream come true.
The annual Trash Makeover Challenge is this Saturday, September 22nd from 6pm to 10pm at the AFS Cinema. Fashion designers from all over the country will be competing to design the best garments made out of at least 90 percent recycled materials.
As an attendee, you’ll be able to see everyone’s innovative designs as they make their way down the runway, as well as enjoy some delicious food and drink!

Plus the entire event is a fundraiser for Texas Campaign For The Environment, a local advocacy organization that fights pollution in Texas by organizing door-to-door canvassers throughout the entire state. Most recently, TCE led the effort to bring recycling services to all of our city’s parks and currently they’re working on a campaign to strengthen pollution benchmark standards in Texas.
