Feel like giving back to support young environmental stewards? Here are a few ways you can help Austin Youth River Watch, an after-school and summer program for high school students that combines peer mentoring with intensive environmental education.
Here’s what they need:
- Prepaid credit cards or gift cards to purchase groceries and fill up AYRW vans with fuel
- New or gently used furniture – AYRW is looking for a couch, chairs, desks, and a kitchen table for their EcoHouse
- Drone or unmanned aerial vehicle – to be used to explore riparian corridors along Austin streams and rivers to identify new areas that need water quality enhancements
