Austin Energy Green Building and the Texas Solar Energy Society are currently accepting applications for the 2018 Cool House Tour. Each year, the Cool House Tour showcases homes that are designed and built to high standards of energy efficiency, comfort, and regional design. The idea is for the tour to serve as a resource, allowing Austinites to learn from homeowners and building professionals who have managed to create homes that are both environmentally-friendly and beautifully-designed.

If you think your home fits that bill, you can apply for it to be a stop along the tour. In particular, the Cool House Tour is looking for, “exemplary projects demonstrating the value and beauty of sustainable and energy efficient design, construction and if possible, locally sourced materials.” The Cool House Tour is on June 10th and the application is due January 26th. You can apply here>>
