The Roundup Announces its Pre-Event Environmental Educational Day

Prior to the official opening of the 12th Annual Renewable Energy Roundup & Green Living Fair (The Roundup), event organizers scheduled an Educational Day.  The Roundup Pre-event Educational Day includes workshops for adults and a Kids Environmental Program where kids from local schools are encouraged to participate in a full day of programs and hands-on environmental projects. The Program takes place Friday, September 28th with the Kids Environmental Program running from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and the adult workshops are listed below. The Kid Environmental Educational Day is put together by:

  •  Texas Parks and Wildlife
  •  Austin Community College & Renewable Energy Student Association
  •  St. Phillips College
  •  Austin Energy

Understanding the Financials of Solar:   Friday, September 28, 11:00 a.m. – Noon

Circular Energy is passionate about creating a better tomorrow through solar technology.   Learn how a proper design can have significant effects on energy production, aesthetic appearance, and most importantly, cost.  This course will provide attendees with a foundation of knowledge specific to the design of a solar PV system.  The 1- hour course provides attendees, architects and AIA members with CEU credits for AIA & USGBC certification.

The Renewable Energy Roundup is co-organized by Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association (TREIA) and Texas Center for Policy Studies (TCPS).
