RSVP for Paddle Community!

This post is sponsored by Ruckify. All Austin Common sponsors are screened by The Austin Common team to ensure they’re doing good for their employees, customers, our community, and the planet.

Get outside and support a great cause, this weekend with Ruckify and Community First! Village.

Community First! Village (in east Austin) provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for men and women coming out of chronic homelessness. It includes hundreds of micro-homes, a community movie theater, organic farm, woodworking studio, and even a blacksmith shop. At Community First! Village, residents are able to learn new skills, earn an income, and connect with the larger Austin community.

Want to support their work? On October 25th from 10am to 3pm, Ruckify (the world’s largest peer-to-peer rental marketplace) is hosting “Paddle For The Community” to benefit Community First! Village. (PS – Please note that this event was originally scheduled for October 24th, but was postponed to October 25th due to the weather.)

Here’s how you can get involved:

  • RSVP via Eventbrite here.

  • Rent yourself a paddleboard with Ruckify! Participants can sign up with the referral code COMMUNITYFIRST to receive $35 RuckBucks towards their paddleboard rental, which reduces the cost to participate to $10. Additionally, Ruckify will donate $10 directly to CF!V for every participant that completes a booking.

More about Ruckify:

Ruckify is a peer-to-peer rental marketplace that allows neighbors to share their stuff… and earn a little extra money while they’re at it! Have a bike or lawn mower sitting in your garage that you barely use? Rent it to a fellow Ausitnite with Ruckify!
