Looking for internship experience in air quality program development and implementation in Central Texas?

 

The CLEAN AIR Force of Central Texas (CAF) is the leading nonprofit focused exclusively on air quality improvement in our five-county region (www.cleanairforce.org). CAF implements effective and innovative air quality improvement programs and works closely with local elected officials, businesses and health/environmental organizations to help create a cleaner Central Texas.

 

Our current projects include the public distribution of Ozone Watch and Warning Alerts, initiatives to replace or retrofit polluting school buses so they run cleaner, implementation of anti-idling programs, partnerships with local businesses to help them “go green,” engaging local high school students in air quality issues and general outreach to the public on air quality awareness.

 

We are seeking someone who is highly creative, flexible, dependable and results-oriented and has experience in event planning, fundraising, research and general administrative duties. The ideal candidate will demonstrate maturity and strong interpersonal skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

If you are passionate about air quality and thrive in a fast-paced environment then the CLEAN AIR Force is the internship for you! We are currently seeking a 9-12 hour per week intern for $8/hour. As a CAF intern you will be involved in outreach, promotion and writing to create awareness and support for relevant actions. This internship is a great opportunity for individuals interested in environmental issues and policy as well as community outreach implementation and planning.
