New Watering Restrictions?

New Watering Restrictions?

What's Inside...

Building on lessons learned during the drought, Austin Water is proposing to move to a permanent one-day-per-week watering schedule. In a press release, Austin Water said they realize this would be a significant change for the community, which is why they are now soliciting public feedback as they move the proposal on to City Council.

Austin Water also says that watering restrictions are their biggest water saving measure and that one-day-per-week watering restrictions were critical in keeping the Highland Lakes above emergency levels during the worst part of the drought. You can submit your opinions about the proposed change online with this survey, or at an one of several open house meetings scheduled for January. More info>>
