04 Jun Introducing Emma, Our New Intern!

We have a new intern! Emma VanDelinder will be joining us for the summer as a reporting intern, so if you see her at a city council meeting or community event, be sure to say hi!

A little bit about Emma:

Emma VanDelinder is a senior at the University of Missouri in Columbia studying print and digital journalism with interests in education and the environment. One of the things that she loves most about journalism is the ability of the medium to encourage and engage in conversation with the community, especially on topics that are vital for the future.

A born Austinite, she is excited to dip her feet in the environmental pool with Austin EcoNetwork in a city that she has grown up in and seen rapidly develop. As a reporting intern, she hopes to gain experience and knowledge by interacting with and learning about the environmental community in Austin while also gaining a foundation of knowledge for her future as an environmental journalist and for her future as a participatory citizen who is excited to engage in creating a more sustainable and environmentally friendly world.
