Are you a UT student looking for a cheap and eco-friendly way to get around town? Austin B-cycle is the answer.
Last week, Austin B-cycle opened sign-ups for its FREE UT summer session membership. With your membership you’ll be able to access all 500 B-cycles from any of its 60 stations around town… all for FREE.
It’s part of a pilot program between the University of Texas and Austin B-cycle which has already burned over 9 million calories, replaced 32,760 car trips, and offset 216,713 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions. And that’s all been in less than six months of operation.
