Sponsored Post – from Austin Resource Recovery
All of this beautiful weather we’ve been having lately means that it’s officially spring garden season… but how to make sure that your soil is up to the task?
That’s where Austin Resource Recovery comes in. Their Brownfields Revitalization Office will be hosting the 4th Annual Soil Kitchen on April 14th and 15th at the East Austin Garden Fair at Parque Zaragoza.
During the Soil Kitchen event, you’ll be able to bring in soil samples from your garden to have them tested for arsenic and lead, as well as nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorous. Soil Kitchen staff will also be providing information to help with understanding heavy metals and nutrient ranges, tips for the best types of plants and gardens based on sample results, and how to reduce pollution from common fertilizers.
