21 Sep HOT- HOT- HOT … and still dry in Central Texas
We continue our coverage about the Texas Drought on Shades of Green Radio this Thursday at 1:00 p.m. on 91.7 FM with guest, Brad Rippey. Brad is an agricultural meteorologist with USDA’s Office of the Chief Economist, and the managing editor of the Weekly Weather and Crop Bulletin, a cooperative effort between the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and USDA. We look forward to hearing his national perspective on Texas’ detailed weather information on past and recent weather patterns and implications for what we may expect. Rippey says “Winter wheat in the Lone Star State will be the first area of concern as La Nina reestablishes itself over the Southern US.”
Also on air with us will be Colin Pope, editor at Austin Business Journal to give us the local perspective on how the drought is impacting business and what we may watch out for as homeowners and business owners in the heart of Texas as winter weather adds to the impact of the summer drought.
We hope you'll tune in and join us on Shades of Green Radio this Thursday at 1 PM on 91.7 FM KOOP radio.
