Sponsored Post – from Austin Resource Recovery
Did you know? Each year between October 1st and February 1st, owners of commercial buildings, multifamily properties, and food-permitted businesses in Austin are required to report compliance with the Universal Recycling Ordinance. (That’s our city’s rule about who has to recycle/compost and how those services should be provided).
Are you a business owner? Panicking because you haven’t done this yet? Don’t worry.
Austin Resource Recovery is currently offering free assistance during several special events throughout January. The goal is to help businesses understand their responsibilities in complying with the URO and to demonstrate how to easily complete the required online reports.
Upcoming events include:
- URO: Recycling Training Session (Commercial and Multifamily Properties) – Wednesday, January 17th at noon at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar
- URO Office Hours: Walk In Assistance For Austin’s Recycling Ordinance – Thursday, January 18th from 1pm to 5pm at the Little Walnut Creek Library
- URO: Organics Training Session (Food Permitted Businesses) – Tuesday, January 23rd at 9am at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar
