Zilker Park Kite Festival

Founded by The Exchange Club of Austin, this is the festival’s 86th Year AND the nation’s oldest kite festival. Head out for the 10am Festival opening for a leisurely day of community kite flying or check-out what else they’ve got planned: Kite Making Workshop (11am), Kite Flying Demonstrations (11am), Kite Flying Contests with categories like: Highest Angle Kite, Steadiest Kite, Most Unusual Kite and a 50 Yard Dash (1pm).
