Mark your calendars! On February 15th, 2017, the Imagine Austin Speaker Series, in collaboration with Austin Resource Recovery, will host Bea Johnson for an exciting event at the Mexican American Cultural Center. The speaker’s talk, Zero Waste Home: Living Waste Free with Bea Johnson, will center around her tribulations and secrets to achieving zero waste for her and her family. She will discuss the importance of applying the 5 R’s (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rot) and aims to shatter misconceptions around the zero waste lifestyle as well as the health benefits, and time and money savings.

Parking:
Parking passes will be available at the Cultural Center entrance to place on your dashboard. We highly encourage you to find alternative transportation to the event by carpooling, walking, biking or taking the bus. The Mexican American Cultural Center is a five minute walk from the stop for routes 17 & 22 at the corner of Red River and Cesar Chavez.
