Woodview Rain Garden Celebration

Join us at the Woodview Rain Garden, at 10am on October 22nd as we celebrate the dedication and effort our volunteers have poured into this garden since 2022!

We will have breakfast tacos, coffee, hot chocolate, and opportunities to help seed wildflowers and learn more about the rain garden. This is a family-friendly event so bring your neighbors of all ages!

The rain garden at the corner of Shoal Creek Boulevard and Woodview Ave was constructed by the Austin Transportation Department in 2020. In the Summer of 2022, a hardworking group of neighborhood volunteers, guided by Shoal Creek Conservancy, adopted this rain garden and began to transition it from turf to native plantings. Let’s celebrate their hard work together, and learn more about upcoming opportunities to adopt a rain garden in your neighborhood.
