Join Hill Country Conservancy, the City of Austin Public Works Neighborhood Partnering Program, and community partners to celebrate a new community amenity on the Violet Crown Trail!

Located at the Violet Crown Trail’s Dick Nichols Trailhead in Southwest Austin, the Whirlpool Patio will serve as an outdoor classroom for visitors to the Violet Crown Trail and nearby Whirlpool Cave. The Patio includes a shaded gathering place, educational signs, a mural of Whirlpool Cave, and an interactive salamander sculpture.

This community celebration will include cave tours of Whirlpool Cave, guest speakers, and family-friendly activities. Thank you to Circuit of The Americas for sponsoring the Whirlpool Patio Outdoor Education Space!

Note: Cave Tour capacity is limited, so reserve your spot in advance to guarantee entry!
