Welcoming Week Kickoff Event
September 10 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am
The City of Austin invites you to join us for the second annual Welcoming Week!
The City of Austin is recognizing Welcoming Week by bringing neighbors, organizations, and communities together to honor the many backgrounds, cultures, and experiences that make Austin stronger.
Join Austin Equity and Inclusion as we kick off Welcoming Week 2026 with a morning centered on community, belonging, and connection.
Inspired by this year’s theme, Stories We Share: The Courage to Connect, the kickoff will feature welcoming remarks, a City proclamation, an art gallery, light bites, opportunities to connect with community organizations, and resources that reflect and honor Austin’s diverse communities.
