Volunteer On The Trail: Invasive Species Management
March 29 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Not all plants belong in the Trail ecosystem! As part of our ongoing restoration efforts, TTC actively removes invasive plant species along the shoreline of Lady Bird Lake. By doing so, we help native plants thrive and restore balance to the ecosystem.
As a volunteer, you’ll work alongside the TTC team to identify and remove invasive species using specialized tools like weed wrenches and uprooters. Join us in protecting the natural beauty of the Trail—one plant at a time!
- Meeting Location: Holly Trailhead (GoogleMaps Link). Please look for an orange TTC flag or tent.
- Parking Information: Free parking south of the Camacho Community Center (GoogleMaps Link)
- Project: Invasive Species Management, removing introduced plants through mechanical removal.
- What to bring and wear: Wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and sun protection (sunglasses and a hat). Bring a filled water bottle. TTC will provide gloves and tools for the event
