UT Austin Sustainability Showdown

Join us for the 2015 Sustainability Showdown, where faculty from each of UT Austin’s 12 undergraduate-serving colleges will blend humor and sincerity in their unique answer to the question: What is sustainability to your discipline and why is your discipline MOST central to creating a more sustainable future?
The winning faculty member, as determined by live audience vote, will secure a $2000 Sustainability Scholarship for their home school or college; the scholarship will be awarded on a competitive basis to an undergraduate student in their college who has demonstrated an interest in sustainability.
The purpose of the event is to explore diverse, challenging and even contrarian ideas about the meaning of sustainability.
