Austin Energy Green Building(AEGB) rates the sustainability of new and remodeled buildings for three markets: Single Family, Multifamily and Commercial.

In 2016 AEGB celebrated 25 years of success in green building practices in Austin.  AEGB has seen and done a lot of sustainable developments in Austin and we are super excited about what’s coming in 2017 also.  Come join us to learn about AEGB’s history and their exciting plan in 2017.

Jeff Wacker, P.E.

Jeff Wacker is an engineer in the Commercial Buildings group at Austin Energy Green Building, specializing in energy and water efficiency.  He has spent 15 years in the building industry, with broad project experience in the commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors.  In Austin, he has consulted on over 12 million SF of commercial construction projects, assisting projects in delivering sustainable outcomes in pursuit of an Austin Energy Green Building Rating.  He currently severs on the AISD Environmental Stewardship Advisory committee, and contributes to sustainability initiatives across the City of Austin.  Jeff holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University, is an ASHRAE Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP), and a LEED Accredited Professional, BD+C.
