Join us for an evening of urban stargazing with the Austin Astronomical Society! We’ll gather around telescopes and peer into the night sky, admiring visions of the past. All ages are welcome, but please be mindful that the equipment is fragile, so children must be watched closely. Please leave pets at home.
Feel free to bring flashlights, as it will be dark. Red lights are preferred to protect your eyes’ adaptation to the dark, but we will also have red cellophane that can be put on white lights.
Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes that are weather appropriate. Per Austin Public Health Stage 3 guidelines, masks are optional.
After you register, keep an eye on your inbox for last minute updates. Successful stargazing is dependent on a clear sky, so we will send out updates by email if the weather does not seem conducive to this activity.
