Connect with our urban forest and gain the knowledge and skills to build and protect the tree canopy of Central Texas through our Urban Forest Steward course. This course empowers Central Texans to care for and advocate for the forests in their communities and wildlands through classroom, experiential, and service learning. Presentations and hands-on activities led by local professionals cover topics including Tree Biology, Arboriculture, Urban Planning & Design, Volunteer Leadership, and Sustainability. As part of the course, participants will develop their own stewardship projects and participate in volunteer events to connect with the urban forest and practice their stewardship skills.
