As temperatures in Austin rise, and rainfall decreases, the presence of toxic algae in our recreational waterways is beginning to show. City officials have been proactively monitoring and transparently publicizing the current conditions so that citizens are more aware of the threats for themselves and their pets this year.
Join us in discussing the threats of toxic algae in Austin waterways with Brent Bellinger, Ph.D., Environmental Scientist Senior with the City of Austin, Watershed Protection Department. Learn how you can identify and avoid the areas where risks for exposure are increased.
Hope you can join us!
