Casandra — a shimmering, 26-foot flying lantern serpent — responds to Central Texas’ history of environmental disruption, from floods to extreme heat and winter storms, by inviting our community to gather, look up together, and imagine what comes next.

This one-night event blends performance, ritual, and civic gathering, transforming the Capitol Grounds at dusk into a site of shared wonder, reflection, and collective imagination.
