2016 has begun with a sense of optimism about climate change after the success of the Paris climate talks in December of last year. The deal is a turning point for climate policy, and a demonstration that countries around the world can come together to address a common concern. This in turn may mean more enthusiasm for commitments to renewables and other lower-carbon energy sources. But what does that mean for Austin and you?
You are invited to take a look behind the scenes of this historic agreement with an engaging panel discussion between local leaders who were on the ground for the action. They’ll talk about the significance of the agreement itself, as well as Austin’s role in this global response to curb the climate crisis. This is the perfect opportunity to learn more about one of the biggest issues of our time – climate change – and what your local community is doing to tackle it.
