TDS Tour with Austin Zero Waste Alliance

Join the Austin Zero Waste Alliance as we tour one of Central Texas’ most important waste and recycling facilities, the Texas Disposal Systems (TDS) facility in Creedmoor.
TDS is home to one of the largest landfills in the area, and one of the most responsibly run landfills anywhere in the country. They also process recycling for tens of thousands of Austin-area homes and businesses and have the largest commercial composting facility in the area. Oh, and they also host an exotic game preserve!
This is a unique and important opportunity to see how recycling really works, how commercial composting is done, what biosolids compost really looks like, where your trash goes, and the opportunities and challenges facing Zero Waste.
Tour is going to start at 10 AM sharp, so please be on time. If you are interested in carpooling please email dobbs@texasenvironment.org. We need RSVPs to prepare for the tour, so please respond ASAP!
