At this hub meeting, we’ll debrief how Sunrise Austin has been involved in the local protests and campaign to Defund APD, and discuss our next steps to support the Movement for Black Lives. We’re having conversations about how police and prison abolition is part of the work of the Green New Deal, and how racial justice should be at the core of our organizing to fight the climate crisis. Open to everyone, this is a great meeting especially for new people looking to get involved with Sunrise.
