Situated on a 30-acre site on The University of Texas campus in Austin, Texas, the Library houses 45 million pages of historical documents, 650,000 photos and 5,000 hours of recordings from President Johnson’s political career, including about 643 hours of his recorded telephone conversations.

  • From May 27 through September 2, the LBJ Library will stay open until 9 PM every Wednesday (last visitor admitted at 8 PM), giving you extra time to explore history after hours. Explore immersive exhibits, uncover iconic moments from American history, and see the museum in a whole new light, including:

    Even better, on June 17, July 15, and August 12, beginning at 5 PM, local visitors can enjoy a special discounted admission rate. Adults living in zip codes beginning with 787, 786, or 789 can receive $12 admission by showing a Texas-issued driver’s license or ID with a matching address.
