Stay Black And Live

Join us on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the Carver Museum’s 6th Annual Stay Black & Live Citwide Juneteenth Celebration! Pull up as early as 11:00 a.m. for the car show & parade, then jump inside for education programming like story time, Juneteenth arts & crafts, and more from 12:00 p.m. -3:00 p.m.

The festival lawn will open at 12:00 p.m., and we’re activating the museum grounds with some pre-game yoga in the garden with J.C., followed by DJs kicking off the vibes. Enjoy a free plat of smoked BBQ prepared by veteran pitmasters beginning at 1:00 p.m until food runs out. We’ll have carnival games, workshops, fun activations, and more! At 4 p.m. the festival hosts will kick off the music festival with opening performances by local and national musical acts, featuring hometown hero, Tameca Jones, and Houston-based artist, Chalie Boy.
