The Austin Regional Group of the Sierra Club is a volunteer organization of over 5000 members. We’ve been an integral part of the Austin scene since 1968.

Our goal is to ensure that the Austin area remains a healthy, vibrant, place to live. We believe that the health of the human world is inextricably linked to the health of the natural world, and we offer a wide variety of activities and volunteer opportunities to support our goal.

From the Sierra Club –

Join the Austin Sierra Club for our annual spring potluck picnic at the Zilker Park Polo Picnic Tables (new location this year).  There will not be a formal meeting, just a great meal with like-minded folks with plenty of visiting and conversation.  We’ll also be honoring the newly-announced winners of the ASC Environmental Leadership Scholarships for high school seniors.  Everyone is welcome, members and guests alike.

Bring your favorite covered dish to share with others and a serving utensil. We will provide compostable plates, silverware, cups, ice, and water; or bring your own. If someone would collect the used compost items and take them home, it would be appreciated.  Zilker Park prohibits alcohol, styrofoam, and glass containers.

Please consider biking, carpooling, or taking Cap Metro (Route 30) to the event.
