Our monthly Austin Sierra Club meeting will be online via Zoom.
We’ll start off with Announcements on current events… Tonite’s main program is the Zilker REWILDING Plan, with Robin Rather & Elizabeth McGreevy.
Parts of ZiIker Park are being loved to death, while other parts are being under-utilized due to a lack of shade. A 2020-2021 city-wide survey revealed 82% of Zilker Park survey respondents supported expanding natural areas in the park. There is concern about the negative impacts of large events and commercialization, and about water quality. Join us to hear about the goals and visions of the rewilding plan.
