Sierra Club Monthly Meeting: Data Center Rebellion

Join us Wednesday April 15th for our April general meeting at the Mosaic Workshop to socialize with like-minded Austin neighbors and hear a talk about data centers.
Doors open at 6:30 for pizza and conversation. Club updates and program starts at 7pm. We hope you’ll join us.
Texas is being overwhelmed by data centers. Public Citizen’s Texas Director Adrian Shelley will cover the basics of data centers, their power and water demands, and their environmental and community impacts. We will also discuss the origin and activities of the Texas Data Center Rebellion and highlight strategies for fighting data center projects in your community.
Adrian Shelley is a native Texan from the City of Houston. He is the Texas Director of Public Citizen, which works on issues including clean energy, environmental enforcement, and ethics reform. Adrian has a law degree from the University of Texas and previously served as the Executive Director for Air Alliance Houston. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, playing music, growing food and other plants, and the outdoors.
