Join us at our first Show and Help of the season. You’ll learn about the trees of the Barton Creek Greenbelt and even get to take some seeds home with you! In partnership with the Central Texas Seed Savers, we will be collecting seeds from local trees with specific emphasis on Black Walnuts. Students are encouraged to save seeds themselves or dutifully donate them to the Central Texas Seed Savers, but any leftovers will be distributed with TreeFolks’ partnered growers in order to supply us with a bountiful bonanza of diversity and a healthy helping of local genetics for future plantings!
Colleen Dieter, founder of the Central Texas Seed Savers will be there to answer all your seed saving questions and share her wealth of knowledge!
The event will take place in two parts so that people can come and go as they please. The first seed savers will go from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm and the second seed savers will go from 1 pm – 3:30 pm. You are welcome to attend both!
