All of us at Shoal Creek Conservancy are excited to announce the completion of the Shoal Creek Audio Walking Tour! This free, self-guided tour brings to life significant cultural spaces and events that have occurred along Shoal Creek’s long and rich history. Not only can you access the tour from your smartphone, but the six tour stops can also be enjoyed in any order!

To celebrate this accomplishment, we invite you to stroll along Austin’s oldest hike and bike trail with SCC on November 10th from 11am-1pm.

After a delicious lunch, special guests, Bob Ward of Travis County Historical Commission, Alyssa Gerszewski of Texas Historical Commission, and David John of Austin Geological Society will speak to and expand upon many of the themes discussed in the Audio Walking Tour. Later, we will walk to a close by tour stop, Split Rock Canyon, where we will access the audio walking tour, have a listen, and speak with a local geologist about this unique area. We hope you’ll join us at this joyous event, register here anytime after October 17th!

If you would like a preview of this tour and how to use it, visit our YouTube channel.
