Please join “Shades of Green” for our Valentine’s Day program this Thursday from 1-2 PM. You can tune in to KOOP 91.7 FM or stream our show at www.koop.org. This week, we’ll talk about ways Texans can “show their love” for statewide and local environmental nonprofits.
Our guest will be Fleetwood Jacobs, Director of Programs and Operations for EarthShare of Texas since July 2012. As a native Texas and a lover of outdoors, she spends a lot of time on our Texas lakes, at Barton Springs, hiking our Texas trails and camping. The birth of her daughter four years ago prompted her to use her fund-raising back ground to ensure that clean air, clean water, and the outdoor way life is preserved. She feels EarthShare of Texas is a great place that yields a high return on every dollar raised as the funds are dispersed among many different and extraordinary organizations. In this manner all areas of conservation, from recycling to endangered species feel the love.
EarthShare of Texas is a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation is committed to making environmental support as easy as possible by giving working people the ability to donate through workplace payroll contribution campaigns. Founded by its member charities in 1988, EarthShare is an opportunity for environmentally-conscious employees and workplaces to support hundreds of environmental groups through a charitable giving drive. EarthShare of Texas participates in campaigns at hundreds of public and privates sector workplaces.
