“Shades of Green” Environmental Talk Radio on KOOP 91.7 (City of Austin Brownfields Program)

This week we will speak with Christine Whitney, the Brownfields Revitalization program manager for the City of Austin. Whitney joined the city in 2014 and is responsible for managing projects that involve the environmental assessment of properties which may have a presence of contaminants. Her office provides assessments to qualifying parties within the city so that these properties potentially can be redeveloped for the benefit of the surrounding community.

We'll also talk about an upcoming event the Brownfields office is hosting called the "Soil Kitchen", which is being held in conjunction with the Fusebox Festival’s thinkEAST installation April 10-12.
