GET GROWING: WATER CONSERVATION IN THE GARDEN
May 13, 2015 6pm – 7:30pm
Ever feel like when you water your garden, the water evaporates before it hits the ground? Or is your garden filled with droopy, sad plants? This is the class for you. We’ll discuss appropriate plant choice and watering techniques for our hot, dry climate. Learn how to deliver water directly to the plants’ roots using olla pots, wicking beds, drip irrigation, and other water-efficient techniques. Everyone will go home with drought-tolerant seeds, and one lucky participant will take home an olla pot!
Grow Local gardening classes are all about learning solid gardening skills alongside local gardening experts.
