GET GROWING: SOIL HEALTH

This workshop will help you diagnose the health of your soil and prepare it for successful food gardening. Learn how to identify the different types of soil in Austin, understand what types of plants are appropriate for different soil structures, and amend soil with compost and other beneficial, organic materials.

Grow Local gardening classes are all about learning solid gardening skills alongside local gardening experts. We want to build community, have fun, witness the magic in nature, make growing your own food easy, and be part of something bigger – your food system! Proceeds from our for-fee classes support free gardening classes and resources offered to individuals and families in need.

Course fee is $12.
Registration is capped at 25.
