Join the SFC Farmers’ Market and Colleen Dieter for a seed-saving and seed swapping event at the Downtown market on January 27th!
Farmers and home gardeners have been saving and sharing seeds with each other for millenia, helping to preserve thousands of rare crops that would otherwise go extinct. After a short class taught by garden enthusiast and professional landscaper Colleen Dieter you too will have the skills you need to save seeds from your favorite tomato and squash for your upcoming backyard garden.
Remember to bring some of your favorite seeds for after the class to swap seeds with your friends and neighbors.
There will be a brief seed saving class taught at two different times (10am and 11am), each followed by an opportunity to swap seeds with fellow gardeners. Parking is free in the lot at 400 W 3rd St.
