Help foster a brighter, healthier future for children in Central Texas through school gardens. This 2-part training is for teachers, parents, and community members interested in starting (or reviving) and sustaining a school garden. We will discuss the key components to a successful garden, including creating a plan, organizing and building your garden team, site selection and basic design, managing the garden, and finding funds and resources to sustain the garden. We won’t be covering basic gardening principles, but we can point you to a variety of related resources (including our gardening classes). You’ll also have the opportunity to meet other school gardeners and find out about community resources and events!
