SAVOR THE FLAVOR: COOKING WITH HERBS
October 13, 2015 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Learn the art of seasoning your food with herbs and transform “so-so” into sublime. Using herbs from SFC’s The Happy Kitchen herb garden, we will prepare herb-based sauces and dishes that feature herbs as main ingredients We will also leave with an understanding of how to use herbs to finish or balance flavors. Handling and storing fresh herbs for maximum shelf life will also be covered during class.
Sections of this class will be active, so please dress appropriately for the kitchen (closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothes, hair tie for long hair). We will sample what we cook, but it will not be a complete meal.
Classes are for adults; teenagers may participate with a parent or guardian present.
