Who's Hosting This Event?

City of Austin Office of Police Oversight
Who We Are:

When people have concerns or complaints about potential police misconduct, those concerns need to be heard, investigated, and resolved. At Austin’s Office of Police Oversight (OPO), everything we do is to promote an atmosphere of earned trust between Austinites and the Austin Police Department (APD). We do this by making it easy, accessible, and safe for Austinites to provide information and start the process.

Austin’s City Council and City Manager want to know your opinion on Austin Police Department policies. The Office of Police Oversight (OPO) is organizing events to collect feedback from community members. Currently, we are requesting feedback on policies related to the use of force. These policies cover things like how and when officers use their guns. OPO will organize community feedback into a report and submit it to the City Manager, City Council, and the Austin Police Department.
