Rebel Edible Garden ground breaking

We will be doing some ground breaking and some earthworks to get our edible garden under way. With the help of Yard to Table (Dani Slabaugh) and EcoRise, some Rebel Green Team students, any others from campus and a few volunteers from the Whole Kids Foundation, we hope to get started on what will be a very exciting change to a very empty courtyard on the campus. We are not needing a lot of work done as this is the first of a few work days, but it will establish and set a tone for things to come. We don’t have much to offer in the way of shwag yet, but we are starting small and building to a great day in the spring for the spring planting and a whole campus day when more folks will be needed. We welcome community fort he Travis HS neighborhood and surrounding areas to come see and hear what we are doing to promote environmental responsibility from within the school outward to the community.
