The HOPE Farmers Market, Edible Austin, Cinema East, and The Historic French Legation are happy to present the award-winning film Queen of the Sun, a profound, alternative look at the global bee crisis from Taggart Siegel, critically acclaimed director of the grass-roots hit The Real Dirt on Farmer John. Box Office Magazine calls it,“The Feel-Good Advocacy Movie of the Year.” and Roger Ebert calls it: "A remarkable documentary that's also one of the most beautiful nature films I've seen." and Current calls it: "Likely the most important documentary of the year." Two short films from the East Austin Stories program in the UT Radio Television Film Department will screen prior to the feature including "Feeding Austin," an inside look at East Austin's own Springdale Farm.

A "mini-market" of vendors from the HOPE Farmers Market will be offering hot and prepared food including all local grilled pizzas so you can to build your own picnic in the grass of the French Legation. Vendors include Salt & Time Salumi, Pâté Letelier, Dos Lunas Artisanal Cheese, Pie Fixes Everything, and more! Honey wine tasting and other bee-themed surprises will also be featured before the film. Hope to see you there!

Doors open for Entry for this special screening is $3 per person. All proceeds go to support the HOPE Farmers Market. For more information gowww.hopefarmersmarket.org or www.cinemaeastaustin.com.
