  • ✨ Playground Design 101: An Interactive Tour & Sketch Night with Austin Playground Designer Diana Molina✨

Ever wondered what goes into designing Austin’s many whimsical, adorable playgrounds? And how designers balance fun, creativity, and safety to come up with new ways to play?

Join us this Friday for a tour of Alliance Children’s Garden led by the artist who designed it! Diana Molina! RSVP here.

After the lecture, we’ll have a chance to play on the playgrounds and draw the grounds! There will be plenty of markers available for all, but you may want to bring a sketchbook 🙂 We’ll also provide nametags for easier socializing 🖍️💖🎨

Come join our nonprofit arts & humanities club to learn more about what makes Austin’s public grounds so lovely and fun!

    ✨ Your Hosts ✨

Your hosts for this event will be Diana Molina and Rachel Summer Cheong. Diana Molina is a designer on a mission: to create iconic fun spaces that resonate with the heart of a community. Her role combines concept creation, project coordination, communication, and a deep dedication to nature-based play. Highlighting health and wellness, her approach to design is both consultative and collaborative, ensuring each project reflects the unique spirit and needs of its environment. Rachel is a local artist who runs the group Difficult Friends. Read more about us in the slides below 🙂
