Permaculture and Stormwater Management Talk with Dick Pierce

November 26 @ 11:26 am

Capital Area Erosion Control Network and Sustainable Site Designs
(free training/discussion sessions)
NEXT MEETING – May 24

Topic = Permaculture – a general overview and its impact on stormwater management

Speaker = Dick Pierce (Dick Pierce Designs) 992-8858 dickpiercedesigns@gmail.com

Friends – all are welcome; please join us. This is a great chance to join water/storm-water
professionals on the many things that Permaculture has to say about stormwater – such as: insoak, infiltration, rainwater management, swales, ponds, wetlands, homes/developers/businesses, use/re-use/re-use water on a site, clean water as it exits, soil, mulch, ground covers, biomass, trees/forest, gardens, gardens in detention areas….. We’ll also touch on the new LEED SSI – Sustainable Site Initiative as it relates to rain and surface water.

(My PC objective re: storm water – not one drop! Vote for 100% insoak and re-use on-site! Make the storm drain a historic relic (or emergency feature). Double your effective rainfall – catch, hold, use, re-use the [up to] 50% that runs off [as storm water]! )

See you there – bring a lunch – or go to Threadgills with me after the presentation.
